By accessing or using the HealStroke website or app, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the site or app.
HealStroke is operated by Stroke Technology, Inc., a Delaware C-Corp.
Eligibility (18+ Only)
HealStroke is intended strictly for users aged 18 and older. By using HealStroke, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age. We do not knowingly permit children to use the service.
Intended Use
HealStroke is a consumer stroke-recovery education, organization, tracking, and self-management application intended to help stroke survivors and caregivers organize recovery activities and understand general recovery information. HealStroke does not diagnose disease, prescribe treatment, or replace a licensed healthcare professional.
Not a Regulated Medical Device
HealStroke is an educational and organizational tool. It is not a regulated medical device unless specifically designated as such for a particular feature in an applicable market. Availability in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store does not constitute clearance by the FDA, EU MDR, MHRA, TGA, or any other health or medical device regulator.
Consumer Product (Not HIPAA Covered)
When you download and use HealStroke directly as a consumer, Stroke Technology, Inc. operates as a direct-to-consumer service and is not acting as a HIPAA Covered Entity or Business Associate. While we implement HIPAA-capable security standards, your data is governed by our Privacy Policy, the FTC Health Breach Notification Rule, and applicable state and global privacy laws.
Emergency Situations and SOS Features
If you experience a medical emergency, immediately call your local emergency services (e.g., 911). HealStroke features, including any SOS or emergency alert functions (such as StrokeSiren), are supplemental communication tools only. They are not a replacement for dialing emergency services and we do not guarantee their reliability or delivery in life-threatening situations.
Artificial Intelligence Features
Certain features of HealStroke may utilize artificial intelligence (AI) to generate educational content, summarize information, or provide recovery suggestions. AI-generated outputs are for informational purposes only, are not medical advice, and may contain errors. You should not rely on AI outputs for medical, clinical, or diagnostic decisions.
User Content and Medical Records
You may choose to upload information, including medical records, photos, or videos, to your HealStroke account. You retain ownership of your content. You represent that you have the right to upload any such content and consent to its processing as outlined in our Privacy Policy. Upon account deletion, we will delete this content in accordance with our deletion orchestration processes.
Waitlist and Early Access
Joining the waitlist does not guarantee access, pricing, or features. We may change launch timing, availability, and program details at any time.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the site, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with operation, or use the site in violation of applicable law.
Intellectual Property
The site and its content are owned by Stroke Technology, Inc. or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy or redistribute materials except as permitted by law or with our written consent.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The site and app are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Stroke Technology, Inc. will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the site or app.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
